I have been registered as severely sight impaired / blind since March 2010. I usually use a white long cane to help me navigate but earlier this year I decided why not pimp it up n add some colour so ordered a purple and hot pink cane. It finally arrived last week, seems to put more smiles on peoples faces n make the world feel able to talk about sight loss and how my journey to date has been. I am aware that to have your KC leave you blind is rare but it is not as rare as many may think so thought id share to give positivity
I have attachedd a photo of me n my coloured cane taken at the weekend whilst I was at the park with mini space_cadet
