What are corneal frost vessels ?

Postby linda36 » Fri 26 Sep 2008 9:42 am

Can anyone tell me what corneal frost vessels are ? Just got a letter from the hospital regarding my sons keratoconus and wondered if anyone can tell me. Have looked on the internet but all I am getting is info about grafts.

Thank you

Linda

Never heard of them!
Suggest you ask the hospital to explain.

This post was originally hidden away in the Q&A section of the forum, and in order to give it a better chance of attracting some knowledgeable responses I moved it to General Discussion.

For what it's worth, when I put "corneal frost vessels" into the search engine, the only hit was this string!

Like Rosemary, I am completely flummoxed by this one!

Andrew

ps Before anyone asks 'flummoxed' is indeed an English word. It is an informal transient verb and means 'perplexed'.

Hmmm

Well I am a professional and I must admit I am stumped as to this! I presume what is meant is corneal ghost vessels? I am just wondering if its a typo?

Could you possibly give us the sentence in which this term is mentioned?

Hello

After appointments at the hospital I always receive a letter with all the information about what has been discussed. One is also sent to his GP. On the letter it has Diagnosis Bilateral Keratoconus then underneath Bilateral corneal frost vessels. The letter also states visual acuity etc. As you know it is very hard to take in all the information given . Maybe my brain didnt pick up this info. I return to the hospital in four weeks and will be asking the question. Thank you anyway. I always think of questions when I return home so I login to you kind people.

Kind regards
Linda
