Do you see multiple moons?

Postby Whiteshepherd » Sat 08 Jun 2013 4:39 pm

I was wondering how many of you see multiple moons when looking at the moon? I have ectasia and I see two or three moons when looking at the moon and I can't tell you which one is the real moon. But if I place my hand in a fist/circle type of pinhole I see only one moon. Kind of annoying but I am curious about the rest of peple with these vision dilemmas. I also see serious ghosting /double images with cars sometimes and tees while driving.

Did this experiment a couple of years ago when I hadn't got any lenses in. Lost count but it was in the high 30's and the same for both eyes :)

Tried to draw it but gave up

Seeing multiple images, ghosting, halos around lights are all common symptoms of KC and of ectasia. Contact lenses can usually get rid of these but sometimes they only reduce them rather than eliminate them altogether. You're certainly not alone!

I see multiple moons that look real. lol Now when I use a pinhole pair of glasses I only see one moon. I guess I need to ask my optometrist to see what increasing the power will do. I am glad I am not alone on that.

I also see multiple moons! Before I had my graft I counted over 40 (now down to about 10 post graft!!). In my good eye I can see between 30 and 40. I suppose it makes us special
