Hello Maximus and welcome to the forum,
When you say you can't wear contact lenses, is that just the standard corneal rgp lenses? There's now quite a variety of different lenses for KC which can work for people who are intolerant of the first line rgp lenses (special soft lenses for KC, piggy backing, hybrid lenses, scleral or semi sceral lenses). And there are other possibilities short of a transplant such as Intacs (corneal ring implants to flatten the cornea) and/or collagen crosslinking to stop the progression. If you e-mail your postal address to anne@keratoconus-group.org.uk I can send you the DVD of our 2009 conference which covered these options in detail.

Maximus...

Where are you based? There are other options available but it would help to know where you are...

Hi

I have just had a toric ICL put in my left eye due to poor vision after a graft and my intolerance of all contact lenses, I have got much better vision in my eye now and hopefully after a few weeks it will be fully corrected by glasses.

Unfortunately this procedure is not done on nhs and is quite expensive and also there are only a handful of surgeons that perform this operation.

It is well worth it though

Cheers
