New server

Postby John Smith » Mon 30 May 2005 8:18 pm

Hello,

The forum is now (as-of 21:15 on Sunday) running on a new server. I've moved all the old messages and users across, although you may find that you will need to log in again, as your cookies may no longer be valid.

Please let me know of any other problems if there are any.

All the best,

John,
not sure if this is related to the change of the server or not.. but htought it worth mentioning!
Everytime i now post a reply.... it seems to take forever to take me back to the forum...
Once i click on submit, the "flag" is showing activity.. but nothin seems to happen.. the screen remains the same.. naturaly you click submit again..
As you see a few posts are up twice... this i suspect is probably because others are experiencing the same problem?!?!?!
It does seem to be sending the data.. but somethings holding it up!

hope your making sense of this!

Thanks for that Jay. Is anyone else still experiencing the "slow posting" problem?

Are PM emails getting through now?

Still working on digests...

Hey John

It is kinda slow but i think that is my pc and the many firewalls i have and not this forum! LOL!! My pc always gets slow at times.

Not related to that at all, but wanted to ask why i cant add messengers to my profile. It seems with larger text you cant add them, though i can if i make the text smaller and choose one of the two other fonts and layout. Its just that as i cant see very well this wont help, but not only that others here may not be able to read it either!! LMAO!!

Just wondering! Thanks a lot!

Odd! I didn't realise that one; I did attempt to make the "resizable text" front end to the forum contain everything that the standard "fixed small text" front end did, but I obviously missed that one.

It's on my list :-)
