Lenses

Postby higgy5150 » Sun 24 May 2009 8:22 pm

Been using lenses for 15, maybe more years. Just can`t seem to get a lens now that is not irritable in my left eye, the eye that is more affected. Right eye is fine.

Concerned with sight, for pc use and driving in particular. Use hospital optician and don`t seem to get further forward with sorting things. Waiting lists for appointments are frustating.

Any suggestions?

Welcome to the forum. Are you suffering from dry eye? This is a common cause of contact lens discomfort, especially after long-term use.

Have you ever tried lubricating your eye with artificial tears? I use Clinitas Soothe, it is available without prescription on line or in some pharmacies.

It may be, of course, that your contact lens specialist will need to try another type of lens, or perhaps a different lens material.

All the best
