Saline or gel for sclerals?
Hi, I've just had right regraft, and, so far, it is going well, a bit sore but that's normal, I think. I have a scleral lens in the left eye, which is awaiting a regraft, but I am getting air bubbles in it again (this had stopped but I think the shape of the eye and cornea are such that bubbles are sneaking in). My specialist has tried a few different fits and now suggests that, rather than using saline, I try gel or drops instead and has given me Clinitas and Xailin to experiment with, or I can use Hylo Forte. He says that, as they are a lot more viscous than saline, bubbles shouldn't happen. Has anyone tried this and. if so, how did it go? Which one worked best?

Just to wish you good healing with the regraft. I've never used sclerals, so can't help with your question but I hope someone here will be able to.
