Postby Purpletopaz » Thu 06 Oct 2022 6:09 am

Hi all,

My son 16 has his first CXL Epi off tomorrow at the Centre For Sight, East Griinstead, we are all a bit nervous I have got some wrap around cover all sunglasses and some cooling gel pads. They advised us re the soft contact lens for 5 days when he will go back and have removed

Any one have any advice please . Thank you all

Is it one eye or both? I had epi off and it was one eye at a time.

I had to have someone help me walk out of the hospital as I found it a bit disorienting. Something to keep bright light out of the eye is good, I simply hid under a hood while I was driven home then kept my curtains shut for a couple of days!

It may well feel very sore and I found painkillers did little but it does pass.

Glad to hear the pain level is improving. It does ease up over a few days.

Fingers and toes crossed for a speedy recovery!
