Keratoconus: No, I don't suffer from KC

alcohol delamination of the cornea

Postby housemartin » Mon 11 Sep 2017 3:40 pm

Hi all

I only signed up today so apols if this topic is misplaced?
I do not suffer keratoconus but seem to have managed to accumulate a few other eye issues.

Apparently I have map dot dystrophy which is a corneal dystrophy and im suffering constant erosions in left eye
The right eye was issue some years ago bit infected and ironically that sealed it and thankfully without intrusive scar.

Anyway i had an alcohol delamination done for the left eye last week. Its quite hazy now and still feels 'erosion-y' despite a bandage lens.

Has anybody else had this done and any ideas?!
Thank you

A bit of googling suggests that it takes several weeks and sometimes longer to get the benefits of this procedure, so it sounds like early days for you. Hopefully you've got a follow up appointment soon to check on how things are going and where you'll be able to ask more questions. All the best.
