Haze in the cornea after crosslinking

Hello everyone!

I was crosslinked in both eyes 25 days ago.
The right eye is almost as it was before the crosslinking. However, the vision of the left eye remains quite blurry. My relatives noticed a small white spot on my cornea and then I returned to the doctor (one of the most respected in the country).
He told me that this is normal and even indicates that there was a good contraction of the collagen fibers, and that it should disappear in two or three months, and that vision will then return to normal. He told me not to worry!
But even so, I'm quite worried and insecure!
Has anyone had the same experience? Did it take to return to normal?

Thanks!

I don't want to scare you but for me, the haze never (fully) cleared. However it is much, much better than it was after a few weeks, as you're experiencing now. What I get from it now is slight 'cloudiness' and very bad aberrations (ghosting)

However, I have recently got myself some scleral lenses which in most respects have been fantastic at reducing the ghosting to almost pre-CXL levels.

I've read a lot about hazing, and for it to be more than just transient is rare... something like <3% so keep your head up and hopefully things will clear up for you.

Hello!

Thanks for the answer.
How long have you been crosslinking?
Has your doctor used steroids to treat your opacity?

It's been around 2 years since my CXL.

Yes I had steroids for some time, but they eventually caused my eyelid to droop (there's a name for this, can't remember now) however I stopped using them and it went 99% back to normal.

Update:

Dear friends, with great joy I come to inform you that my suffering with regard to haze is over!
About 3 months ago my vision is practically normal (100%)!
No ghosts or aberrations.
God heard my prayers.
I wish the same for those who are going through concerns about it.

That's great news!

So often we read people's problems on the forum but don't always hear what happens when the eye has stabilised. Thank you for letting us know.

I'm so happy for you that haze has disappeared from your eye :) I'm in my 2nd month after cxl and there's still haziness in my eye and also blurry. I notice it more under fluorescent light. I also get headaches when I am in well lit environment for too long.

Did u experience something similar?
