EZI Scleral Lens Applicator Ring

Postby Shelf » Sun 28 Aug 2016 8:38 am

Hi guys,

Does anyone else use a Lens Applicator Ring? see pictures.

I've only got one left so have just ordered more from the US. Ordered through: https://www.dryeyeshop.com/storefront.aspx

Which are quite expensive for shipping, does anyone know of somewhere else to get them from, anyone else using them?

Many thanks
Simon

I've not seen one of those before.

A few years ago I was going to get some corneo-scleral lenses and was shown how to balance the lens on two fingers and a thumb. It looked to be quite a tricky thing to do to avoid bubbles getting behind the lens. There are some You Tube videos showing how to insert the lenses this may help you if you can't find another ring.

In the end the lenses didn't work for me and I now piggyback my RGPs. I occasionally do have problem with a bubble behind my left lens, but fortunately it disappears after half an hour.
