hi
how long after the transplant until one can use contact -scleral lens - one Dr said 18 months, another, 8 years ago, said 4 months. any experience?

Re: 4th graft next week & scleral lens question
I know a few years ago, Moorfields were trialling fitting scleral lenses earlier than usual after a graft - something like 6 months post graft so before sutures were removed. I know one person who did this and it worked for her but I don't know if it's now standard practice. I guess practice varies in different hospitals - sclerals do have the advantage of not touching the cornea so in theory early fitting should be possible. But it also probably depends on how the graft turns out.
