Could technology, magnifiers etc help you? There are some roadshows in the next few weeks where you can see what's available.
Monday 6th October - Friday 10th October 10.30am to 3.30pm each day at the Action for Blind People and RNIB Resource Centre in Judd Street near Kings Cross in London.
There will be demonstrations of state of the art gadgets, screen magnifiers and screen readers and other technologies from manufacturers and experts. Just go along on any of those days and try things out.
Also in London on November 4th at Kensington Town Hall is this year's Sight Village event. Open from 10am to 4pm. Again, lots of manufacturers exhibit computer software, low vision aids etc plus the major sight loss charities giving details of their services.
And if you're in the West Midlands, there is a similar event on Tuesday 14th October between 10am and 4pm at Brierley Hill Civic hall, Bank Street, Brierley Hill, Dudley. Go along and see what products and services there are that could help you.
