Another Good Meeting 7th October 2017
There were 19 of us at yesterday's meeting with the venue at Birmingham John Lewis now firmly established and we have decided to make this the regular venue - next year's dates are already booked. We had a really good interactive discussion about KC and raising awareness of it and I have sent a copy...

Re: Arc Welding after a corneal graft
That's a great question Bob, always good to have a new challenge but unfortunately I have no idea of how to answer it. Not immediately obvious why there should be a problem in comparison with an ungrafted eye but, as you rightly say, you do not want to take any chances. Have you contacted the hospit...

Our next meeting is called "World Keratoconus Day and Us". World Keratoconus Day will be 10th November and was started last year in the USA. This is a good opportunity to learn more about it, to have an open discussion on what we can do to raise awareness of KC and for anybody to share any...

Re: hello advice please ... I think I put this in FAQs by mistake!
At the risk of stating the obvious, are you developing cataracts? Perfectly normal at that age but does reduce the vision because less light getting through. However, I'm assuming your eyes have been checked recently so that should have been picked up. I'm a few years older and starting to notice th...

Good Meeting 8th July
There were 28 people at yesterday's meeting with the venue at John Lewis proving to be really popular, especially as it is so easy to get to. It was a very interactive session going over the incidence of KC, websites that help how to describe it, KC in the workplace and the positive help from Action...

Next West Midlands Meeting Saturday 8th July 2017
Our next meeting is on the topic of "How do we explain Keratoconus to the other 99.95% of the population?" If you have you ever struggled to get people (especially employers) to understand what we experience then this is for you. Come and see some simulations, share your suggestions and al...

Re: Vision no better 4 months after cornea transplant
Hi Chris, Well let's start by saying you've come to the right place for support and helpful advice and then let's give the usual advice of 'don't panic'. That may sound a bit pat but lots of us have been there and quite understand your worries which are perfectly normal. A graft does take time to se...
