Re: Lens options
In that case I would maybe ask if they would refer you to somewhere that can offer them?

Re: Lens options
Personally I would persevere with the NHS. My local team "only" did RGPs and I've had RGPs, Kerasofts and piggybacks through them. I explained that RGPs really weren't working for me and I would really like to try Kerasofts and later on piggybacks as the combination of the comfort of softs...

Re: Topography, OS/OD and other stuff
Then started to do some digging to find out what the various measurements meant. This PDF document from Zeiss gives a good explanation of Shape Factor, Corneal Irregularity Measurement (CIM) and TKM. And this product PDF is handy to understand how the images are taken and what some of the output mea...

Topography, OS/OD and other stuff
Went for a check up and topography at the Leicester Royal Infirmary today; first time I've had the topography done in a few years and so took the opportunity to ask for copies. Re: Anyone tried AR coated glasses for driving?
I have a pair of RayBan polarised sunglasses - just checked their website and it states that all their polarised lens have an AR coating. They are superb for driving and I frequently wear them well into dusk; they really help with glare and fatigue reduction.

Re: Wearable monoculars? (How can I get one?)
But to see anything with my right eye, I seem to have to have the eyepiece pushed right into the eye socket, right up against the eye. The ratchet mechanism moves the outer lens towards or away from the eye, with some butchering and experimenting you might be able to make the ratchet move the lens ...

Re: Wearable monoculars? (How can I get one?)
How about taking something like this and removing/customising the mechanism over your good eye? These are very similar to the pair shown at the East Mids meeting. I have pretty good corrected sight in both eyes but still thought these were excellent for improving distance vision. http://www.visionen...

Re: advice re ipad/Samsung tablets
Typing this on an iPad, the pinch zoom is excellent for when I'm having a bad eye day. I don't think Android is any better or worse than Apple for KC use, cones down to personal choice, budget, form factor etc.

Re: SCOT LENS the best i have ever had -
Hi George,
As someone who hasn't tried sclerals I'd be interested to know what other lens you have used and what makes the Scots the best? Acuity, comfort, aberration reduction?
Thanks,

Thanks to everyone involved in organising the meeting, was a very interesting talk by Mary and it was good to meet others from the group.
