Hi Kev, I think Rob's suggestion is a good one - your NHS hospital should help you as your lens is "medically necessary". As for Mr. Nelson, he's listed on the General Optical Council web site at www.optical.org as being in Wirral. The GOC may help you to locate his practice; it is possible though t...

Hi Susan, You are of course correct that most people don't have any real problem with their KC. To a lot of people, it's just a long word that they occassionally hear in the opticians; occasionally it's something that makes the optician suggest contact lenses rather than glasses. Hi Peter, That reminds me of when I first started having problems - only with me, the problems were to the left and right of the TV screen, rather than at the bottom, but I suppose the same applies. I found that one edge of the TV was green, and the other reddish purple. Hi Lee, Thanks for the comments - I've moved your posting to the general forum for wider coverage. I hope you can get an email address sorted out soon so that you can participate in the conversations properly. I believe that a leaflet for employers is certainly in the pipeline - watch this space!

Stitch removal

Hi everyone, I thought I'd give the group a quick update: I had a corneal graft in Jan 2002, and following three minor rejection episodes, I had the stitch removed (finally!) on Thursday. To be honest, I was panicing more about the removal than the graft itself - being awake and sitting up filled me...

Hi Ermat, Putting something in (or even near) your eyes is really a foreign concept to your body. Don't worry though - in time, you'll become more used to the idea, and things will become much easier. The eyelid sensation is something that you will get used to in time. Just wear the lenses "enough" ...
