Re: To all who have joined this forum recently

Hi Sophia, Welcome to the group! Sorry to hear that the CXL didn't work, I'm lucky mine did though it hasn't corrected anything (well an extremely minor improvement is all) but it doesn't seem to be progressing. I'm interested in how you get on with intacs, it's something I'm looking at exploring as...

Re: To all who have joined this forum recently

Hi, Just read the post. I'm maybe a little older than your son (I'm 34) but I was diagnosed with the condition last year and have a good and bad eye though both have KC in them, it's just more pronounced in my left (in my right, I bizarrely have almost perfect vision except for starbursts at night)....

Re: KC Newbie here

Welcome! Everybody has a different experience and thankfully my CXL worked but I know how bad the degradation in vision feels. My job involves a lot of driving and losing that became a genuine fear (I love my job). I've been given a hybrid lens for my left eye but I'll need to get used to it before ...

Re: Cost of RGP Lenses on the NHS?

I've just been for my lenses and I was the same price. I think it's a standard price.

Re: Urgent CXL advice needed please

I had mine done separately too, which worked for me. It's really a judgement call at the end of the day. I haven't heard of that procedure either but sounds interesting!

Keep us updated with how it goes and trust it will go well for you!

Re: Urgent CXL advice needed please

I’d suggest discussing this with your specialist if you haven’t already. I had epi off in both eyes, and yes it does hurt for a couple of days after but the level of pain varies from person to person. In my case, the left eye was really sore while the right was nothing more than a niggling nuisance....

Re: Corneal Haze from Cross-linking

Hi, can anyone tell me there thoughts on cxl? I had it last week, vision is terrible, now been reconmended to have procedure on my ‘good’ eye, but totally unsure as of yet. Hi Barry, I had it done in both eyes last year (on separate dates) and it took a few weeks before my vision returned to proper...

Re: To all who have joined this forum recently

Hello all, Relatively new to the forum and it's been a great help just reading but feel I'd like to contribute now. Anyway, I'm Dave, 34, and just recently diagnosed with KC though I know I've had it for a number of years, it was a change of optician that caught it. I'm 6 days on from having CXL don...
