Re: Corneal collagen cross linking Consultants
I also had CXL at Centre for Sight a couple of years ago. Good, professional clinic in my opinion - I was more than happy with my treatment and follow up. It may, however, be worth seeing if any other NHS clinics in your area that undertake CXL. Some do, as it is on trial basis. St Pauls at Liverpoo...

Re: Just had my CXL consultation
I understood that a graft was only really suggested when vision was no longer possible in contact lenses, either through fitting or comfort. Was the Doc suggesting he do the graft? Not sure what area you are in, but some NHS hospitals are running trials for CXL - have you looked into this before goi...

Re: Fed Up, Upset and Frustrated!!!
Are you seeing one of the registrars or are you seeing the consultant when you are attending appointments? I have seen the consultant every time i have been to the clinic at St Pauls's. I usually see one the registrars first but then i see the consultant, the first time i had to ask to see him but n...

Re: CXL Recovery
having had both intacs and crosslinking, i can say that the recovery time from intacs is slightly longer (signed off for two weeks following procedure), whereas i was only signed off for 1 week post crosslinking. After intacs the pain and recovery time was a lot worse, not able to open eye properly ...

Re: Difficulty with hard lens
I struggled with putting lenses when i first tried them as i found i was focusing on the lens hence my eye shutting as i got close. Have you tried focusing on a point past your lens/finger - i find that this takes my focus away from the lens and could then get the lens in my eye.
