Switching hospitals process
Hi All, It's been a long time since I've jumped on here, my KC hasn't progressed since I got diagnosed so just been chugging along in life :). Hope everyone's doing good in this odd times. I’ve been going to Royal Berkshire eye hospital in Reading since my first diagnosis. I’ll be moving near Birmin...

Synergi Contact Lens Solution discontinued
I've been using Synergi for the past 5 years and now they no longer manufacture it.
Can anyone recommend an all in one solution that's preservative free?

Re: Anyone tried AR coated glasses for driving?
I have the same issue with my RGPs, starbursts at night time driving it's not as bad as it used to be. I did not even consider getting glasses with AR. So I take it I can just pop into opticians and request glasses with AR, should be ok? Or is there any special requirements for those with KC and wea...

Re: Night Driving Work Nightmare
I've been wearing RGP lenses for three years. I've found two things that improve my night time vision: 1. Ensuring the windscreen is clean and even the inside of the windscreen. 2. If I can I'll take my lenses out, give them a clean and rest my eyes for say 30 mins or so. I find this really helps as...

Re: Dry Eye Advice
Hey Lew, I had dry eyes for the first year of wearing RGPs and I gotta say was the most annoying thing ever, especially when my eyes used to go pretty red. A couple of months ago I decided to switch my lens solution from Quattro to Synergi and this made a massive difference! I've not had dry eyes si...

Re: Contacts fogging up
Thanks for the replies much appreciated. Jake I did what you suggested and that made a massive difference, I wouldn't have even thought of putting the drops on the contacts. It still gets a bit cloudy but not as bad as it was a few days ago, will see how it goes over the next few days and take it fr...

Re: Contacts fogging up
Thanks for the advise Elizabeth, I actually used some hycosan drops for dry eyes and that helped a little bit. I'll try a different solution and see how it goes. Wouldn't using solutions for soft lenses cause any problems with RGPs? I'm not entirely sure what the main differences ate between soft an...
