Thanks for the comments, Sue. I'd obviously not made the point clear about the need to login, as you're not the first to make that comment.

The "Runtime Error" certainly shouldn't appear though. I'll try and dig into that one.

Hi Andrew, thanks for your comments. Like Anna, I use the little rubber sucker to remove my lens. With me, the suction of the lens to the eye is very strong. I've never managed to succeed with your method unless there was a large bubble under the lens :( . I find that the rubber sucker is best if yo...

If you're going to see a consultant, you will need a referral from her GP.

I don't know of any register of KC specialists. Alas.

Hello Anna,

I use Amidose saline to fill the lens itself - or the more viscous (and more expensive)Celluvisc on occasion.

As for drying for storage, I use a clean soft tissue; dabbing rather than wiping to ensure there's no scratching.

Hope this helps.

Hi Andrew, I tend to agree with Anna, but it is of course worth realising that most opticians in the UK are also opthalmologists ("Opthalmic opticians" is a bit of a giveaway :) ) In my case, I went from a High Street opticians to a consultant at the local hospital. The consultant told me to find a ...

I think that a lens could be fitted fairly early on, but that sounds unlikely. My understanding is that on each stitch removal, your corneal shape could alter, and so that could make the fitting of contact lenses rather expensive. My guess is that you're best to wait until all the stitches are remov...

Hi Rob, I agree totally. Last week, I woke up with my eye being a little cloudy (OK, very cloudy). I remembered RSVP and took myself to eye casualty. After being seen by 2 doctors and then my consultant, I was told that I was undergoing a mild rejection episode. So I'm back on the steroid drops ever...

Hi Sajeev, I'm not sure I completely agree with one of your comments. Many people wear sclerals AFTER they have had a graft (I think that KC patients post-graft are the largest group of scleral lens wearers). Personally, I have a scleral in my left eye, which is (I think) legally blind without the s...
