Blimey! That's some pretty extreme results, at least all the colours look pretty...

Re: Newbie
Oh yes, sorry, when I read 'lenses' I automatically think of contacts! Sorry I can't help with glasses. I actually work for the NHS and was able to get about £100 paid towards mine when I could get away with stating they were purely for reading at the computer screen... don't think that'd fly now th...

Re: Newbie
Why not get your lenses on the NHS?
£54 per lens... I started off privately as I wanted them quicker but when they started quoting me £300-400 I soon changed my mind! Plus if anything, NHS can be even quicker sometimes.

Re: Is your KC mild, moderate advanced or severe?
I've got my second CT scan next month so it'll be interesting to see how far my eyes have deteriorated... I feel the left one hasn't changed much, but the right one has got worse. Taken from my CT scan in November it would seem I am officially moderate in both eyes; 46.6 in my left eye, and 47.5 in ...

Re: 17 and worried!
Good and bad... no, you will not go blind, but left as it were your vision would likely deteriorate further. However, hopefully you'll be eligible for CXL which is an (almost non-invasive) procedure which can halt the progress! I only got fully confirmed of keratoconus late last year and yes it can ...

Re: New to RGP's... a few questions
Well, after all that, I went back for my follow up appointment and we've decided to leave RGP's for the time being. I woke up the other day with horrendous pain in my left eye, honestly felt like there was a razor blade in there. It totally knocked my vision out for the day too... luckily I feel fin...

That's great thanks, do you think anti-glare helps with night time driving then?
Going back to the work thing, I had to adjust measuring lasers the other day. That was, interesting... seeing 5+ lines when you're trying to be within a tolerance of 1mm

Re: New to RGP's... a few questions
Is there a way to tell what is the left one and what is the right one!? There are various ways of telling the difference: They can have R for right and L for left marked on them Or a single dot on the right, or none or two marks on the left Or you could have a gRey one for right and a bLue one righ...

New to RGP's... a few questions
Hi I finally got to pick my Rose K2's last week and have a few comments to make. First off I kinda made a stupid mistake and didn't check what lens I was putting in to what eye. My vision was okay, not great... but I'll get to that in a bit. Later on in the day, I put them back in, but in the other ...

Re: What job do you do and how does keratoconus affect it?
I wondered recently about wearing both contacts and glasses. I'm new to RGP's and tried out night time driving for the first time the other day... that's a massive no no then! I was wondering if glasses could stop the ridiculous fireworks glare from street lights etc. as I don't get this from glasse...
