Hello again 12 months on from getting the Intact fitted and the long and short of it is this:- 1) My unaided vision has become a lot worse....-10 to -16ish ( Very shortsighted) 2) Still have the "Halo's" which is caused by the light entering my eye and refracting off the edge of the Intact...

Rosemary Thanks for the posting...Oh yes very short sighted in my left eye it has got to the stage where I have had a "balance" lens put in my glasses for that eye. As it felt that each eye was trying to be more dominant than the other and my vision was all over the place as a result. :roll:

Thanks Andrew...I am of the opinion and mind set of Nothing ventured nothing gained......I have another follow up appointment early May and waiting on a contact lens appointment prior to that.

Hello all, Well, what can I say? It's has been a hectic few months since I had my Intacts fitted back on Friday 12th December of last year at Gartnavel, under the stewardship of Dr Ramesh. From what I am lead to believe this was a trial and I am one of the first to get this operation done in Scotlan...

The other chap did have KC and from memory he had it in both eyes and bumped into him at our follow up appointment after the operation.
I will try and get along to the next meeting to meet the troops

Hi to all I have been attending the Gartnavel ( Glasgow) contact lens clinic for a number of years now and have "Moderate to severe" Keratoconus in my Left eye and evidence it is in the very early stages in my right eye also. Having been through trying every type of Contact lens imaginable...
