Re: Registering to post on this forum

I’m in Scotland and, as Lia says, the pathway was a referral to the hospital through my optician (the GP can do it too) and I was thereafter referred from there to an optometrist specialising in KC and got lenses that way.

Re: Vision after CXL

It’s a scary time post CXL! It took a couple of weeks before it was more normal for me. It was a very gradual return for me but not pleasant waiting!

I trust it will come back for you soon :)

Re: Sight after Cross Linking

In my left eye it took almost four weeks to see properly (if you can call KC vision that!) after my CXL was done. My right eye was only a couple of days.

Re: Before and after - Crosslinking

Welcome to the forum! I was the same age as you when I had mine done. I only had cross linking done and I’ve been told the procedure was a success. You are right and it can get you down at times. I learned to accept it and seem to cope with it now. I consider myself one of the lucky ones and have ha...

I saw two men fighting over a bus pass.

Turned out to be a fare fight.

Re: Just a thought

I think it’s quite hard to quantify. Every illness is debilitating in its own way and the effects will also be difficult.

I have quite mild KC to the extent I don’t really need glasses most of the time but it’s still had its own negative effects.

It’s a question I don’t really know how to answer!
