Re: Final Cross-linking procedure and actually recieved some good news

That's brilliant mate I'm glad things are working out for you! I don't want to burst your bubble but my vision got a lot better after a few weeks but then it gradually went back to how it was beforehand... hopefully you'll retain some of your good vision; it certainly isn't unheard of  Tha...

Re: Final Cross-linking procedure and actually recieved some good news

Thought I'd update this as I can now use a computer, I had the CXL procedure on my right eye on the 27th and it was a considerably more pleasant experience than when I had it on my left, it was by no means fun but it was OK. I went home after the procedure and healing seemed to be going well, my vis...

Re: Final Cross-linking procedure and actually recieved some good news

I have to admit over the past 24 hours or so I have been questioning whether I am genuinely happy or if I was just high on good news, on the one hand I like the idea of only requiring one contact lens to see decently, but on the other I would prefer sharper vision without ghosting. Luckily if I do d...

Re: CXL Part One - Done

Sorry to scare you Matt, My vision to date has been up and down but most of the time it is as good as it was before the procedure it's still a little tingly occasionally and I find I get days when I'm quite light sensitive, no date for my other eye as yet but my follow up for this eye is on the 15th...

Re: CXL Part One - Done

I'm glad it went well for you man, I had mine done at the Queen Vic the week before on the 14th and have to say it was an unpleasant experience,It was perfomed on my left eye which is my worst and already has an intac fitted. They administed anesthetic drops and proceeded with the eye scraping, I ha...

Re: Cross linking at 35

I'm yet to have Cross-linking myself, I'm due to get it done at the Queen Victoria on the 14th of March so I can't really advise on how it goes, however my understanding is that it will halt the progression of Keratoconus, if your eyes are actively getting worse I would consider it sooner rather tha...

Re: Recently diagnosed.....what can I expect???

Thanks for your replies guys, I went for my consultation at East Grinstead they we're busy and took about 3 hours before I was done with, they have decided to go ahead with CXL in both eyes as well as a precorneal ring in the left eye to hopefully help. I have to say I'm pretty pleased with this so ...
