Re: CXL paid for WPA medical insurance
Hi , Latest from Cigna below. They are still refusing to pay since they claim it lacks robust evidence. I am thinking of pursuing this further using Chris's advice in previous postings and asking for "letter of deadlock" and taking this to Ombudsman. Has anyone had experience of taking this...

Re: CXL paid for WPA medical insurance
Dear Longhoc,
I would really appreciate your views on if I have a legitimate case to fight with Cigna with regards to the exclusion poily they are quoting . Do you think I have a chance of winning this one?
Kind Regards,
Sushila

Re: CXL paid for WPA medical insurance
Hi , I am completely stunned by the response from BUPA .I had a similar refusal lettwer from them stating that they would fund the procedure if it was a clinical terial BUT not otherwise. As I said before, they changed their mind at the final hour and partially funded it once I said I was going to ta...

Re: CXL paid for WPA medical insurance
Good Morning! I have been thinking about your case last night. It is interesting that they haven't given the usual "NICE guideline" excuse again. What I find really frustrating is if they have authorised treatment for one case, are they not obliged to do the same for another? When I was having...

Re: CXL paid for WPA medical insurance
Hi, I totally feel for you but don't give up. As I said in my last posting BUPA eventually paid .They paid £1309 and we covered the rest. The procedure cost £2000 and he had it done at Moorfield 3 weeks ago. My son has recovered really fast after his procedure and was back at uni within days. What w...

Re: CXL paid for WPA medical insurance
Hi Chris, Below is another email from BUPA. Altough I accept that any extra cost needs to be payed by me,I feel that the next line refering to non payment should any complications arise(which I pray won't) is unfair. Surely any medical procedure arries an element of risk. They are paying based on th...
